WHAT IS TIMER RELAY

Being termed as relay (low current carrying device ) , then it is a type of relay that responds with change of time , it accept time setting from which it will either activate or deactivate the electric circuit to fulfill the target.

WHY DO WE NEED TIMER RELAYS

In the world of industrial production , is where we let and teach the machines to decide and act in themselves , one of the important factor on decisison making in time , then we need timer relay in order to facilitate decisions making in the machine efficiently , other factor the machines depends are temperatures, pressure, level , positions etc.

  2. Analogy display timer Relay Is the timer which the setting of time achieved by mechanical gear

  3. Universal timer Relay, that accept both DC and AC

ORDERING HINTS FOR THE TIMER RELAYS

As engineer / Technician must know important factors to consider before ordering the timer relay

1.OPERATIONS VOLTAGE / COIL VOLTAGE

This is the voltage that enable the relay to excute the setting to the interlocked circuit

2. CONTACT RATING

Here we must check what type and current you want the timer to control, most of relays are rated between 2/3 A then you must know

3. NUMBER OF OUT PUTS

Here we consider the number of outputs you want the relay the give during on or off position Normally open (NO) Normaly close (NC )

4. THE MAXIMUM TIME SETTING

Before you buy any timer , make sure you know how long the interval will your process requires to decide or react

5. MOUNTING TYPE

It is minor factor but very important, failure to check you will end selecting bigger or small timer , mounting available are Rail mounted , PCB mounted , etc.
